"Every Trail is Sacred"
Friends of Eldorado is committed to protecting Eldorado National Forest and keeping routes and trails open for public use. FOE mission is to protect and maintain trails, routes and campsites in Eldorado National Forest. Working closely with groups such as Blue Ribbon Coalition, the National Forest Service and Friends of the Rubicon, FOE will work to ensure public access to public lands and responsible OHV use for years to come.
Work Party Dates Set!
Two dates have been set for this summer, with a possible fall workparty later on.
August 9th and September 27th is which public lands day. The August 9th workparty will most likely just be a small clean-up not requiring many volunteers, however the 27th will be of fairly good size.
We will notify members thru e-mail, our newsletter which will come out soon and on this website about the location of these workparties in the near future.
In the works for the winter:
FOE is in the planning stages with the Forest Service for a series of clean-ups and trail maintence in 2008. We will mass-mail out information on these in the next few months to all members!
The FOE Myspace page now has over 1,000 friends! Add us as a friend and post one of our banners on your Myspace page!

VLLS Training!
Five of FOE's founding members have attended and graduated Del Albright's VLLS training course on November 9th-11th. This will insure that our workparties are not only organized, but productive.
MEETING OF THE MINDS!
The FOE founders and other interested parties met at Robb's Resort on October 20th to discuss our mission and our first possible work-party. Please keep checking back here for more information!
